Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician

Overview

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician to provide health services to UAF students. The Center provides medical, counseling, and health education services to the UAF student body. Nurse Practitioners and Physicians provide comprehensive, ambulatory healthcare and health education to university students as part of the medical staff. This position is part-time, benefits-eligible, and available during the academic year (nine months, from mid-August to mid-May) and part-time during half of the summer term.

Provide health services to UAF students in an interdisciplinary environment. Deliver comprehensive outpatient medical care and health education to the student population. Support students in managing their healthcare needs and contribute to a collaborative health services team.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program at the master’s level or higher, Alaska license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Alaska prescriptive authority (including a DEA number or eligibility for a DEA number).

Physician: Degree from an accredited medical school, Alaska license to practice as a Physician, Alaska prescriptive authority (including a DEA number or eligibility for a DEA number).

This is a part-time, 10-month, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
