Nights; 36hr/wk; 12hr Shifts

- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history and diagnostics; report abnormal results.
- Formulate and update a plan of care, including discharge plan, with patient and team input; set realistic goals; coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
- Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision; comply with policies, procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate patient and family response to care; revise plan as needed; assess progress toward goals.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; ensure legible, timely, policy‑conforming documentation.
- Provide care based on best evidence; participate in research, shared leadership, education, orientation, and mentorship activities.
- Contribute to society through activities that enhance patient outcomes and professional development; may supervise staff and workflow in some roles.
- Valid current or temporary Alaska RN license.
- Associate’s degree in nursing (or higher).
- BLS certification required; additional ACLS, PALS, or other certifications may be required.
- Creative thinking, prioritization, flexible problem solving; clear verbal and written communication.
- Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an RN in relevant specialty.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Experience in the specialty area and acute care setting.
