Description Of Duties

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Carpentry Lead to oversee and manage all carpentry operations on our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate and guide a team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Skills
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to guide construction activities.
  • Assign tasks and ensure efficient workflow on job sites.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; request supplies as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices to develop skills and ensure consistent workmanship.
  • Monitor job site safety and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood, metal, and other construction materials.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
    • Physical Requirements:

      Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform manual labor as needed.
