Ensures compliance with standards in evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to consumers of FNSB E/I. This position provides case management services for consumers and collaborates with management to ensure the delivery of quality services.
Job Duties:
- Interviews and screens consumers for services.
- Provides advocacy and referral services and serves as a liaison with community agencies.
- Creates and maintains consumer files according to established policies and procedures.
- Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Works as part of a team providing quality care while following departmental policies and procedures.
- Works well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines, and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
- Provides information to the public regarding the program.
- Attends relevant training sessions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
- Ability to report to work timely.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, including cross-cultural communication styles.
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer with various software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in the social service field.
- Effective working with diverse cultures and lifestyles, especially the Alaska Native population.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in behavioral health, human or social services, counseling, or related fields.
