Position: CASE MANAGER I

Ensures compliance with standards in evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to consumers of FNSB E/I. This position provides case management services for consumers and collaborates with management to ensure the delivery of quality services.

Job Duties:

  • Interviews and screens consumers for services.
  • Provides advocacy and referral services and serves as a liaison with community agencies.
  • Creates and maintains consumer files according to established policies and procedures.
  • Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Works as part of a team providing quality care while following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Works well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines, and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
  • Provides information to the public regarding the program.
  • Attends relevant training sessions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
  • Ability to report to work timely.
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, including cross-cultural communication styles.
  • Proficiency in operating a personal computer with various software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in the social service field.
  • Effective working with diverse cultures and lifestyles, especially the Alaska Native population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in behavioral health, human or social services, counseling, or related fields.
