What You'll DoYou will be responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel safely and timely.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a commercial motor vehicle requiring a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker, Hazmat, and Doubles Endorsements.
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and in or out of tight areas.
- Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites.
- Properly manage daily pre‑trip and post‑trip for the assigned vehicle.
- Submit daily record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements.
- Properly upload delivery paperwork into dispatch system.
- Maintain daily communication with driver supervisor and dispatcher.
- Maintain proper material and supplies for assigned vehicles.
- Attend monthly and/or yearly assigned training.
- Properly interact with customers.
- Maintain proper PPE at all times, both in the truck and out of the truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or experience in lieu of education.
- Experience operating truck-pup or doubles.
- Class A CDL with the following endorsements:
Tanker, Hazmat, and Doubles or Triples. - Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Must have a current medical card.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess Longer Combination Vehicle Certificate (LCV) or be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- Experience driving in mountainous winter conditions preferred.
- Experience delivering fuel preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Able to use tablets for work instructions (ELD, maintenance, hours of service tracking) preferred.
