We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to act as a subject-matter expert supporting diverse engineering and manufacturing programs. This role contributes to product design, development, and optimization efforts across aerospace, automotive, and defense-related projects. You will help shape future engineering and manufacturing strategies while supporting customers through technical guidance and solution development.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the creation and refinement of 3D Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to support part procurement and manufacturing.
  • Analyze production processes, control plans, schedules, and manufacturing methods to determine future needs.
  • Participate in audits to evaluate supplier capabilities and alignment with design requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve design, manufacturing, and procurement challenges.
  • Support initiatives in Industry 4.0, digital factory development, model-based enterprise, advanced manufacturing, and additive manufacturing.
  • Produce accurate technical documentation, including analyses, reports, and engineering presentations.
  • Review manufacturing instructions and processes to identify improvements in efficiency and quality.
  • Develop strategy documentation and standardized processes to streamline TDP development.
  • Provide real-time engineering support to suppliers on feasibility and manufacturability questions.
  • Evaluate production run results to validate “as-designed” versus “as-manufactured” outcomes.
  • Work closely with program management, technical teams, and customer groups to achieve project milestones.
  • Solve technical issues, manage deliverables, and take ownership of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with end users to diagnose and resolve engineering challenges.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo or Solid Works preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience with design, manufacturing, and testing of machined, forged, cast, or fabricated parts.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing, assembly, cost, and reliability.
  • Strong project management and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead small, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, depending on customer needs.

Must be clearable and US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of team lead or project management experience.
  • Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • PE license or equivalent certification.
  • LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar process credentials.
