Serve as an electrical engineer supporting multi‑specialty teams to achieve results specified by program leadership in aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities.
Provide technical assistance to resolve system engineering and maintenance concerns, monitor aircraft and component contractor technical data, manuals and engineering changes for technical accuracy, and ensure compliance with OEM and TO requests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical assistance on system engineering and maintenance concerns.
- Monitoring aircraft and component contractor technical data, manuals, and engineering changes for technical accuracy.
- Responding to TO 00-25-107 technical assistance requests from USAF maintenance units.
- Supporting a 24/7 Emergency Telephone Support line and commuting to the General Atomics facility within 2 hours when required.
- Performing technical evaluations on aircraft electrical systems, ground support systems and SE requirements.
- Analyzing and evaluating proposed design changes and revisions.
- Reviewing non-conformance reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Providing risk assessments for aircraft and SE system deficiencies.
- Reviewing OEM failure analysis reports for technical accuracy.
- Assisting with mishap ground and flight safety investigations.
- Reviewing and recommending major and minor engineering changes.
- Formulating and coordinating new electrical design specifications.
- Assessing new electrical system designs for sustainability and requirement compliance.
- Evaluating subjective and objective data from test execution.
- Supporting safety and accident investigation boards as a liaison.
- Overseeing R&M project compliance and cost estimates.
- Coordinating with Det 3 equipment specialists on all design changes.
- Supporting TPWGs, PDR, CDR and FDR for hardware and software systems.
- Assisting AFLCMC/WII program management in parts procurement and cost‑benefit analysis.
