Job Overview

Senior Acquisition Program Manager
Sumaria has an opening for a Senior Special Projects Training Systems PM Support Manager supporting the Medium Altitude UAS Division (MQ‑9 Reaper). This position will support the Medium Altitude UAS Program Office (MQ‑9 Reaper) program by providing advisory support for acquisition management, program planning and integration support of MQ‑9 production, modernization, integration of new capabilities, and retrofit activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Medium Altitude UAS Program Office by providing advisory support for acquisition management, program planning, and integration of MQ‑9 production, modernization, and retrofit activities.
  • Assist the PM in identifying issues, recommending alternatives, and producing draft documentation for timely, fully‑staffed products or solutions.
  • Draught mid‑level briefings, correspondence, reports, databases, websites, and other program products.
  • Assist in reviewing processes and procedures, providing recommended process improvements for government consideration, and ensuring acquisition category reporting requirements are met.
  • Coordinate draft correspondence, secure leadership approval prior to distribution, and provide advisory assistance in translating requirements into recommended contract documents such as Performance‑Based Statements of Work and CDRLs.
  • Provide advisory and draft documentation support for development of risk mitigation strategies and independently apply subject‑matter expertise to various project–program initiatives.
  • Analyze operational capability requirements, determine technical solutions, and monitor status of contractor‑generated technical data and engineering changes.
  • Coordinate with DCMA, Protection, Production Quality Assurance, warfighter to coordinate DD250s, ATPs, and aircraft delivery.
  • Assist in the development, population, and maintenance of databases for program metrics.
  • Support integration, test, fielding, and sustainment of MQ‑9 related training system capabilities, managing interactions with the USAF and contractors.
  • Provide advisory support for major program reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and facilitate progress reviews and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline with five years in DoD OR; or BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience with five years in DoD OR; or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications.
  • Knowledge of configuration control, developmental, operational and force development evaluation testing systems, force structure, depot maintenance/sustainment, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience with acquisition management plans, Program Protection Plans, SOW development, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and advisory skills.
