This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems encompasses cyber and mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5
ISR systems, providing capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development to support U.S. military and federal partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a customer contact for program activities, supporting and leading program execution.
- Understand and interpret customer requirements to enable execution in partnership with customers.
- Provide direction oversight of cost, schedule, and performance of all assigned programs.
- Establish milestone schedules and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Identify program problems and risks, developing solutions or corrective actions.
- Execute bi‑weekly status updates and report on cost, schedule, and performance.
- Contribute to and complete monthly status reports, program management plan updates, quarterly program reviews, and scientific and technical information submissions with appropriate transmittal documentation.
- Functionally lead and advise the Tech Center SME team, including hiring and personnel demand.
- Support identification and capture of follow‑on and new opportunities for existing and new customers across the portfolio.
- Develop strategic and technical roadmaps with program leadership.
- Prepare and evaluate proposals, statements of work, specifications, budgets, and financial terms for supporting contracts.
- 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 13 years with a master’s degree, or 19 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Clearance eligible.
- Experience leading and influencing multifunctional teams.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented, able to align business objectives to meet customer needs.
- Self‑motivation, able to work without appreciable direction.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Experience preparing and executing briefings and presentations for senior‑level customers and internal executive leadership.
- Independent thinker, multitask, strong problem‑solving skills within a matrixed organization.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Active TS clearance.
- Background in a technical S&T related field or management experience of diverse technical teams.
- Experience using collaborative cloud‑based environments for team and project management.
- PMP certification or ability to gain PMP certification.
- Experience running programs for government and government prime contractors.
