Essential Functions

• Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive, abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
• Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
• Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices
• Set up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other products
• Set up and arrangement of cold foods such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal
• Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated
• Removes trash from service area
• Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed
• Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage
• Return reusable food supplies to storage after service
• Vacuum, sweep carpets and floors; mop floors
• Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g., wall fixtures, window sills, vents) using cleaners designated by supervisor
• Inspect areas for safety hazards
• Check operating conditions of equipment
• Report lost & found articles per hotel procedure
• Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance
• Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/manager

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding in carrying out instructions
• Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies and convey information to staff and management
• Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work without constant supervision
• Must be able to work well as a part of a team
• Must be engaging with all guests throughout breakfast period; responding to guest needs as required

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for entire length of shift
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Qualification Standards

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred
• Must have excellent customer service skills
