- Ensure the Critical Duracell Management System (Safety, Quality, Daily Directional Setting, Clean Inspect and Lube, Center Line) is reviewed during each daily directional setting meeting.
- Share appropriate information, such as the operating area plan for the shift.
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Serve as equipment/area owner and maintain line appearance at the defined standard.
- Know your team’s shift results every shift.
- Complete the Behavioral Observation Sheet for safety and record any incidents.
- Use electronic systems to ensure nonconforming product is placed on hold and communicated to the Team Leader, and maintain the status of on‑hold product.
- Understand line results: number of stops, downtime, and issues on the entire line.
- Manage process results:
Critical Process Equipment (CPE) and centerline completion & compliance, manage changeover and start‑up/shut‑down processes. - Work with the PM Planner on planned maintenance: if Down Do’s are complete, handle Shift Leader hand‑off.
- Ensure the line follows the correct process orders and plan for the next order.
- Enter production data into downtime tracking.
- Accurately complete the line board.
- Operate machinery as needed.
- Own final confirmations of finished good product.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Working knowledge of a production/packaging environment and machinery.
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and up to a 12‑hour shift.
