Plant Manager, CL Site Operations – Fairburn, GA

Ensure that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded within the confines of company guidelines. Meet company objectives with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment. Adopt continuous improvement within the workplace. Organizational strengthening. Work with trade unions (if applicable). New business development. Be a corporate citizen, create an external image. Quality and environmental management systems.

• Ensure customer expectations are met and/or exceeded within company guidelines.
• Quarterly presentations to customer senior management regarding scorecards and initiatives.
• Participate in customer‑invited meetings such as 9:30 am to support strategic objectives.
• Communicate with the customer and demonstrate initiatives supporting continuous improvement.
• Meet company objectives with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment.
• Quarterly presentations to senior management on plant objectives and initiatives.
• Establish a 5‑year/contract life business plan, annual budgets, and ensure targets are met.
• Drive and execute the concepts of lean manufacturing.
• Ensure the plant plans and executes productivity tasks on an annual and ongoing basis.
• Prioritize activities associated with the elimination of waste in all aspects of operations.
• Build a stronger salaried team capable of leading the hourly workforce into future demands.
• Improve employee relations and morale through participation of personnel from the shop floor and instill behavioral discipline.
• Improve communication throughout the organization and at all levels.
• Continue to identify and eliminate past practices that may impact the financial wellbeing of the plant.
• Work with union personnel to improve day‑to‑day operations while limiting the emotional impact on the workforce.
• Adopt union representatives as part of the business to maximize their contribution to overall objectives.
• Work with the business development and account management group to identify business opportunities within the plant’s capabilities.
• Ensure the plant participates in all activities surrounding potential business and future profitability.
• Ensure the plant is always in a state that maximizes its appeal to outsiders and potential customers.
• Ensure that the company is a positive force within the community and considered a good employer.
• Increase exposure of the company in a positive light to maximize future growth opportunities.
• Work with other suppliers and industry focus groups in the local community to learn from experiences and adapt accordingly.
• Participate as an active member of the management team in supporting ISO 14001 and ensuring direct reports abide by processes and instructions.
• Drive, attend and participate in ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 management reviews.

• A college or university degree related to manufacturing is preferred, and/or an MBA.
• Managerial experience at various levels and/or in other manufacturing locations.
• Manufacturing/logistics background in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Job experience in a Tier 1 operation is beneficial.
• A production, materials, and quality control background complements the skill set.
