Our Food Division is a complete broad line multi-state distributor, and our Beverage Division operates throughout the state of Texas as a proud distributor of Anheuser-Busch products, craft and import beer brands, spirits, and wine.
We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor to perform supervisory and administrative functions within the Delivery Department. The successful candidate will train new and existing delivery drivers, work with the Transportation Manager to learn all tasks associated with the Delivery department, and maintain compliance with the Fleet Safety Manual.
Responsibilities:- Train new and existing delivery drivers in proper delivery procedures
- Work with Transportation Manager to learn all tasks associated with the Delivery department
- Maintain compliance with the Fleet Safety Manual
- Perform driver ride-alongs and evaluate drivers based on Fleet Safety criteria and customer service
- Maintain records relating to Fleet Safety policy and perform periodic reports to management on accidents
- Review driver eligibility once a year and as needed to ensure each driver remains in compliance with Fleet Safety Manual
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Class "A" Commercial Driver's License
- Preferably a "Motor Vehicle Record" with no major violations in the last 3 years
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test before job confirmation
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
