Junior Accountant job at Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert. Fairfax, VA. Cordia Resources is seeking a Junior Accountant to support our government contracting client. This role will provide hands‑on support in accounts payable, reconciliations, and audit preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Responsibilities- Process and manage accounts payable transactions
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist with audit preparation and support documentation requests
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and support month‑end close activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- Quick Books experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
