Overview
Gates Hudson, a full-service property management company, seeks a Centralized Collections Specialist to join our centralized support team. This role is responsible for managing resident delinquent accounts using the Elise Collect software from Elise
AI, streamlining communication and collections efforts across our residential property management portfolio.
- Utilize Elise Collect AI-powered software to automate, manage, and optimize collections communications and workflows.
- Monitor and track outstanding balances while ensuring compliance with FDCPA and Consumer Protection laws.
- Conduct direct collection calls and manage AI-assisted communications professionally.
- Review and analyze resident payment trends to refine collection strategies and reduce delinquencies.
- Recommend improvements to collection procedures.
- Collaborate with property teams to support seamless collections efforts across all communities.
- Provide recommendations to improve collection procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all collection activities.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
- Handle escalations and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Produce collections reporting for clients as requested.
- Provide support as needed to ensure task completion.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, property management, or accounts receivable.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct customer service experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Yardi CRM, resident ledgers, and general property management software.
- Strong knowledge of FDCPA, Consumer Protection laws, and local Landlord & Tenant laws.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with ability to establish payment plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Proficient and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, centralized team environment.
- Familiarity with Elise Collect or other AI-driven collections software.
- Knowledge of local/state rental assistance programs, agencies, and charities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Ability to produce, analyze, and explain reporting.
High school diploma required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
