Responsibilities
We're seeking a talented graphics artist who can create high-quality visual content that effectively communicates complex information to various audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, visual media, and digital content creation, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to produce engaging and informative materials. This role will involve developing a wide range of visual content, including graphics, videos, and photographs, to support our team's communications efforts.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
- Developing, creating, and editing visual content for audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior executives and Congress.
- Develop and maintain an organization-wide branding and visual style guide.
- Identify techniques to enhance the reputation of the organization's brand.
Required:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA;
Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA;
Minimum of 3 years with PhD, additional 4 years of relevant years of experience in lieu of degree - Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
- Exceptional knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as Microsoft Word and Power Point
- Exceptional visual design skills and ability to compose compelling content for a variety of audiences
- Understanding of current visual design best practices, to include accessibility standards
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve visual content
Superior time management skills
Desired:
- Experience translating technical information into accessible and engaging video content
- Knowledge of HTML and various markdown languages
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Basic photography skills
- Basic audio recording and editing skills
- Basic video recording and editing skills

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
