Inova LJ Murphy Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiologist to support our rapidly growing team within Inova Children’s Heart Center. This position would be supporting our large outpatient ambulatory Inova Children’s Cardiology care at Inova LJ Murphy Children’s Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia.

Inova LJ Murphy Children’s Hospital is a 226-bed children’s hospital located at the Inova Fairfax Hospital Medical Campus in Northern Virginia. • The Division of Pediatric Cardiology includes 20 board‑certified pediatric cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers.
• Inova Children’s Heart Center is a comprehensive team, including congenital cardiac surgery, outpatient cardiology, fetal cardiology, non‑invasive cardiology, adult congenital cardiology, fetal cardiology, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, and electrophysiology.
• Responsibilities include outpatient general pediatric cardiology and inpatient service, including cardiology ward/consult service and/or cardiology step‑down team.
• Flexibility, strong communication, and collaborative skills are key.
• The position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and leadership of the Heart Center to execute yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on safety, quality, patient experience, access, and stewardship.

• Patient care is the primary focus; education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to research professionals.

• Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution; board‑eligible or board‑certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Successful completion of a pediatric residency program.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) at start, ACLS, PALS (when appropriate).
• Ability to complete payer credentialing with third‑party payors and enrollment as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor.
• Successful completion of medical staff credentialing and clinical privileges commensurate with required services.
