Job Overview
Pediatric Otolaryngologist (ENT) (MD/DO) – Full time at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, Fairfax, VA. This role is based at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital and the new Pediatric Multispecialty Ambulatory Practice at Willow Oaks. The position offers a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance.

- The current practice is staffed by two fellowship‑trained pediatric otolaryngologists and two advanced practice providers.
- Inova has its own Pediatric Audiology department staffed by three pediatric audiologists, with expansion planned.
- Clinical practice covers a wide breadth of pediatric ENT cases including complex aerodigestive conditions, craniofacial disorders, vascular malformations, and complex otology (cochlear implants and BAHAs).
- Clinical responsibilities include a busy outpatient practice, inpatient coverage, and the ER (advanced practice providers assist weekdays).
- Call is roughly 1:5, covering NICU/PICU patients and infants under 12 months.
- Facial trauma coverage handled by Plastic Surgery and OMFS.
- State‑of‑the‑art ORs at the hospital and several surgery centers with the latest technology.
- Research opportunities available.
- Epic EMR system used throughout.
- Enjoys a level of autonomy similar to private practice without additional non‑clinical academic duties.
- Education
:
Completed or in process of completing an ACGME‑accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology. - Certification
:
Board‑certified/eligible in Otolaryngology‑Head & Neck Surgery; complex pediatric specialty certification recommended. - Licensure
:
Current unrestricted medical license in Virginia. - Payer Credentialing
:
Ability to complete third‑party payer credentialing and enrol as CMS Medicare/Medicaid payer. - Medical Staff Credentialing
:
Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges.
