We are looking for enthusiastic instructors who can teach science, STEM, cooking, and sports to school children across the DMV area. The position requires availability on Thursdays and at least two other days (Tuesday or Wednesday) to support our 3‑day‑week programs. Ideal candidates have prior teaching or coaching experience, can teach multiple departments, and work with diverse curricula to deliver quality enrichment instruction.

Start Date: Mid September 2025

Compensation: $25–$40 per hour, based on experience

Alexandria, VA;
Fairfax, VA;
Springfield, VA

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare the classroom or activity area each day, including setting up equipment.
  • Teach and inspire 8–15 students in a structured environment (approximately 1.5–2 hours per session).
  • Manage equipment ranging from cooking supplies to computer technology and sports gear.
  • Ensure the safe supervision of children during activities.
  • Administer safe dismissal procedures following each class.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Baroody Camps staff.
  • Implement COVID‑19 policies and procedures as directed.
  • Commute to the Falls Church facility for weekly supply pickups (Science/Cooking).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong classroom management and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Availability to teach at least 2–3 times per week.
  • Reliable vehicle transportation required.
