Part Time Afternoon Preschool Assistant Teacher – Merritt Academy

Shifts:

Part‑time – 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

• Assist in classroom management including supervision, transitions, cleaning, and preparing supplies.

• Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate academic and values curricula in a loving and safe environment.

• Engage in physical activity with children, move constantly, and build relationships with students.

• Work with various age groups and help with assigned tasks as needed.

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, work indoors or outdoors, and alternate often between sitting and standing.
• Must be able to maintain sight and sound of the children at all times.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Pass pre‑employment screenings and trainings as required.
