About the Role:

Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Cheerleading Instructor, where you will inspire and train young athletes in the art of cheerleading! This exciting position allows you to share your passion for cheer while fostering teamwork and confidence in children.

Youth Cheer Instructor (Program Coach)

Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Centreville)

We’re looking for energetic, reliable instructors who enjoy working with kids! You’ll help children build confidence and learn the basics of various entry level cheer after school sports in a fun, positive environment. Classes will begin after Labor Day this fall.

• Experience working with children
• Comfort in an athletic or recreational setting
• Basic knowledge of entry level cheerleading sport (we provide curriculum and training)
• Punctuality, professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm
• Reliable transportation to and from school sites (no mileage reimbursement)
• Availability between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on weekdays (most classes 60 minutes within this timeframe)

• Lead or assist after-school entry level cheer sports classes at local elementary schools
• Run high-energy sessions focused on fun, teamwork, and skill-building
• Manage and transport your assigned equipment bag
• Engage kids in elementary school grades K‑6
• Ensure every child is safely dismissed before leaving

• Starting pay: $20–$25/hour based on experience
• Top rate of $30/hour for returning, experienced coaches

• Part-time, typically 1‑3 days per week
• Classes have 10–20 kids
• Mandatory training

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2‑6 per week
