Our programs include private and group instruction in piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, drums, flute, voice, and more, along with Montessori-inspired early childhood music education, adaptive music programs for neurodivergent learners, and enriching performance opportunities.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Cello Teacher to join our growing faculty.

This is a part-time, on-site position at Music Love Academy in Fairfax City. The ideal candidate is not only an accomplished musician but also an inspiring educator who enjoys working with students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to teaching with patience, creativity, professionalism, and excellence.

• Provide engaging, high-quality private cello lessons, with opportunities to teach group classes.
• Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's age, ability, learning style, and musical goals.
• Teach proper technique, musicianship, music reading, theory, and expressive performance.
• Prepare students for recitals, festivals, competitions, and other performance opportunities.
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and a lifelong appreciation for music.
• Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and academy administration.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members on performances, educational initiatives, and academy events.
• Maintain reliable scheduling, punctuality, and professional teaching standards.

• Strong proficiency in cello performance, technique, and music theory.
• Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Previous experience teaching private music lessons to children and adults.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to music education.
• Experience working with neurodivergent students or students with diverse learning needs is a plus.
• Additional proficiency in piano or another instrument is an advantage.
• Willingness to participate in faculty recitals, student performances, and academy events.
