Your Opportunity

Morrison Hershfield’s, now Stantec, Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients, focusing on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education, and food/beverage facilities. Our team of engineers, technicians, and support staff bring diverse backgrounds in design and construction, recognized as leaders in the field.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of commissioning projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Perform engineering design reviews, prepare testing procedures and reports, direct client-site testing, and train on-site staff.
  • Develop equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures, SOPs, MOPs, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and track project progress.
  • Prepare reports with recommendations for building operation optimization, deficiencies, and manuals.
  • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals.
  • Participate in project meetings and interface with contractors, vendors, and technicians.
  • Conduct tests, compile results, and develop functional tests for HVAC and other mechanical systems.
  • Manage all aspects of commissioning services for new and existing buildings.

Your Capabilities And Credentials

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical writing, systems development, and utilization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and controls is a plus.
  • Ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 75%.
  • Experience in commissioning planning, testing, troubleshooting, and building performance investigations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good record.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering service delivery, consulting, or design with MEP systems.
  • Experience in mission-critical facilities is preferred.
  • EIT, LEED AP, CXA, AABC, or ACG certifications are pluses.
