Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead enterprise-level engineering efforts that deliver timely, accurate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, shape system architectures, and integrate complex systems across major acquisitions and organizational boundaries.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor mid- and junior-level systems engineers across all systems engineering disciplines, including requirements, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis.
Lead planning, requirements analysis, and traceability for user needs, architectures, procedures, and problem statements to automate and improve existing systems.
Evaluate cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints to inform system modernization.
Guide solution design efforts based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on commercial imagery and product workflows.
Support Government stakeholders in translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and solutions.
Allocate requirements to system architecture components and support program execution.
Perform systems integration across multiple platforms and services.
Conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Integrate systems, services, processes, and interfaces across major system acquisitions and agency boundaries.

This position is fully onsite in either Chantilly, VA or Springfield, VA.

Required Qualifications EducationBachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field, including Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline.
12 years equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
12+ years of experience in government or industry with relevant experience in:
DoD and/or IC acquisition processes
Requirements development and management
PPBES process
Systems engineering of large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments operating in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures
Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
Demonstrated knowledge of the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and NRO enterprises.
Prior program or project experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG missions.
Prior program or project experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and lifecycle processes.
Active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain SCI access and successfully pass a polygraph.
