Responsibilities- Lead all aspects of performance contracting projects from conception to completion, serving as the primary point of contact throughout each phase.
- Introduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients, identifying opportunities where CMTA’s solutions deliver long‑term value.
- Articulate CMTA’s unique value proposition in technical and financial terms, reinforcing our competitive advantage.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business, referrals, and long‑term partnerships.
- Participate in business development efforts, including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
- Lead the development phase, conducting site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
- Direct the engineering design team in producing drawings and specifications.
- Oversee the bidding process to ensure quality and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with the client to finalize the performance contract.
- Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
- Direct the commissioning process to validate performance.
- Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
- Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop the first‑year M&V report.
- Demonstrate knowledge of state‑specific K‑12 design‑build procurement processes, ensuring alignment with state and district requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
