Insight Global is seeking an experienced Traffic Analysis Project Engineer to assist in driving the technical development and safety analysis of traffic control device plans. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of traffic signals, signs, pavement markings, lighting systems, ITS systems, and maintenance‑of‑traffic plans, and is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Virginia Department of Transportation.

• Perform a variety of tasks, including transportation planning studies, traffic operations and safety analysis, traffic engineering design plans and preliminary engineering design.
• Complete studies and develop high‑quality traffic reports with limited direction and be able to clearly, professionally present that information to clients on site and virtually.
• Prepare documentation and design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signage and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS).

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Minimum six (6) years of progressive experience in traffic engineering
• Proficient experience with HCS, SIDRA, Synchro/Sim Traffic and VISSIM
• Experience with Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual and AASHTO guidelines
