Clearance

Requirement

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must be eligible for U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret clearance. An active clearance is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Facilities Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management, managing multiple safety programs.
  • Develop and implement M.C. Dean site‑specific project safety plans in collaboration with Project Management.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; imaginative, thorough, and practical.
  • Travel to Omaha, NE and coordinate with customers or owners of general site conditions and non‑compliance notices (NCN).
  • Participate in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/sub‑contractors to advise on project‑specific mitigation plans, S&H training programs, and technical reports.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Site‑Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans to meet project safety plan specifications and requirements.
  • Assist with site safety budgets, necessary safe work permits, and assure compliance with project contract, plans, and specifications.
  • Lead the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in reviewing, interpreting, and developing a project safety plan based on project, client/owner, program manager, and customer specifications, design drawings, regulations, and existing safety systems; conduct/assist with incident/investigation reporting.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety and health standards, rules, regulations, safe work practices, accident investigation techniques, OSHA, DOT compliance, insurance audits, workers’ compensation, project health surveys, AHA, site emergency evacuation and first aid plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with a High School diploma, or 8+ years with an associate’s degree, or 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Experience conducting S&H training and regulatory compliance (OSHA 1910, 1926, EM‑385‑1‑1).
  • Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill, and experience.
  • Understanding of OHSMS (ANSI‑Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000, ISO 45001).
  • Understanding of culture building skills and human performance.
  • OSHA 500/502 – Occupational Safety and Health designation, or equivalent.
  • Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST).
  • Previous electrical, construction, industrial, federal, and commercial S&H experience.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret clearance (active clearance highly preferred).
