Job OverviewWe are seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer to assemble, prepare, and verify closing documents during the completion of lending transactions. Once a mortgage loan is approved and an offer is made and accepted, the Loan Closer coordinates all aspects of the closing process and ensures that all terms of the sale are met.
Responsibilities- Generating the initial Closing Disclosure or CD
- Verify interest rate is correct; title work is free of extraneous liens and contains the proper vesting and legal description, and ensure there is adequate homeowners' insurance coverage
- Ensure that the closing package is accurate, complete, and that documents meet or exceed all applicable investor guidelines
- Efficiently and effectively communicate with all third parties, including internal departments, to ensure problem‑free closings
- Timely resolution of all missing/incorrect documentation requests by the quality control and document control departments
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of experience as a mortgage loan closer
- Encompass experience required
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast‑paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, VHDA, USDA, and Conventional loan programs
