We are looking for a Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist to join our servicing team at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA. The Loan Servicing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining smooth and accurate processing of loan servicing activities.
Essential Duties- Interact across departments to promote a better customer experience throughout the servicing process
- Process borrower payments
- Process FHA Transfers, PMI Transfers, and Flood Certificate Transfers
- Reconcile purchase advices and interact with investors accordingly
- Process insurance mail
- Process escrow disbursements for taxes and insurance
- Show excellent customer service, handling inbound phone calls and emails from customers
- Provide necessary mortgagor loan data and/or documents to subservicer
- Support the Accounting department with remittance reconciliation research
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
- Experience in mortgage servicing and banking operations is recommended
- Strong customer service background
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to analyze information
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
