Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, is responsible for assisting the servicing of mortgages and home equity loans payment processing, escrow maintenance, file maintenance, record-keeping, Certificates of Satisfaction, Allonges, Collections requests and member relations. Assists AVP of Mortgage Servicing, Secondary Market Analyst, Branch Staff, Mortgage Originator/Processor, Mortgage Processor/Underwriter, Mortgage Loan Closer, Home Equity Loan Processors/Underwriter, and the Collections Department.

Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve With Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs other job duties as assigned by the Mortgage Servicing Manager.

• Performs duties incidental to maintenance of records or loans. Processes payments through mail or payroll deduction. Processes paperwork necessary for payment of fees. May prepare routine letters to members. May handle change of address notification. Assists members by telephone and in person with routine inquiries regarding payoffs, change of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries and other details of existing loans
• Helps maintain loan escrow accounts. Performs clerical duties related to processing escrow transactions to include: ARM adjustments, escrow analysis, PMI payments, homeowner’s insurance payments, real estate tax payments
• Board newly funded loans and ensure accuracy once transferred to servicing system.
• Processes certificates of satisfaction/lien release forms when mortgages or Second Trusts are paid off
• Audit mortgage loan files processed by loan advisors and processor for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to regulations, Apple Federal Credit Union procedures and Freddie Mac LP Findings
• Help package and send sold files to be delivered or audited to/by secondary market investors
• Processes Allonges for First and Second Trust Balloon Notes. Maintains a tracking system to ensure that Allonges are signed and returned by members, providing follow up when necessary.
• Performs month-end and year-end reporting
• Assists Mortgage Servicing Manager, Mortgage Originator/Processor, Mortgage Underwriter/Processor, Mortgage Loan Closer and Home Equity Loan Underwriter/Processors with loan processing and origination duties as required
