About the Role
As a Hair Color Bar Assistant at Madison Reed, you support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead in delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You learn the full range of services and grow toward a future role as a Licensed Colorist.

• Demonstrate teamwork and guest‑centric service aligned with our values of Love, Joy, Trust, Courage, and Responsibility.
• Assist with behind‑the‑chair services, including shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot‑tool styling, treatments, toners, and product application.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals across retail, services, memberships, and product sales.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed policies, processes, and procedures.
• Drive revenue by upselling services, unlimited roots memberships, subscriptions, home hair care, and other add‑ons.
• Show a proactive, learning mindset and complete Colorist Training, mastering color theory and behind‑the‑chair application skills.

• Active cosmetology license in your state.
• Entry‑level experience in customer service or retail sales; salon or beauty industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point‑of‑sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Regular standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand and arm motions; lifting and pulling of up to 10 lbs; occasional sitting, kneeling, stooping, and pushing. Requires consistent customer interaction and consultation.
