Exercise Physiologist - Weight Loss Exercise Class Instructor

Inova Weight Loss Services - Fair Oaks is seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join our team. The role offers a flexible schedule between 4pm - 7pm, with one or two classes required on a day of your choice, typically back-to-back.

Responsibilities:

• Develop exercise prescriptions and modify risk factors, considering comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, following established standards (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM).
• Review individual treatment plans.
• Create personalized exercise, strength training, education, and behavioral health programs to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence by demonstrating proper exercise techniques, observed directly.
• Report significant clinical changes to the healthcare team and assist with emergency care as needed.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
• Licenses: ACSM CEP or AACVPR CCRP certification required upon start for cardiac or pulmonary rehab programs, or equivalent certification.
• Experience & Certification: BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 6 months.
