• Education:
  
  Associate degree required, preferred in radiation therapy
• Experience:
  
  Completion of Radiation therapy program preferred
• Certifications:
  
  American Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiation or registry eligible within one year of employment;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required at start

• Radiation Therapist 2:
  Full-time Day Shift (Mon–Fri);
  
  Education:
  
  Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification;
  
  Experience:
  
  2 years in a Staff Radiation Therapy department with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation;
  
  Certifications:
  
  ARRT; BLS;
  License: VA license required at PROC (Woodbridge)
• Radiation Therapist 1:
  Minimum qualifications include Associate degree and preferred in radiation therapy;
  Certification: ARRT eligible within one year; BLS required at start

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff and other team members
• Set up and administer treatments according to protocols on a daily basis
• Verify proper functioning of linear accelerators, simulators and CT machines
• Position patients for initial treatment and verify setup per prescriptions; verify beam parameters and blocking via record-and-verify systems and treatment plans
• Identify and report any unsatisfactory setup or errors to physicians; liaise between physicians and machine staff for complex treatments
• May perform additional duties as assigned
