Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive care for patients in both pediatric and neonatal intensive care units (PICU and NICU). This role will emphasize skills in patient assessment, respiratory therapies, and collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments to patients in the PICU and NICU settings.

• Monitor and assess patient response to therapy interventions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans.

• Handle workload dependent on Resource Value Units (RVU), managing assigned minutes effectively.

• Participate in departmental orientation and training processes, transitioning to independent care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both PICU and NICU settings (not pediatrics).

• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required.

• Current Virginia state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT accepted).
