Cardiac Device Specialist

• Inova Physician Services - Cardiology EP is looking for a dedicated Cardiac Device Specialist to join the team. This role will be a Full Time Days Monday
  - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

• Performs clinic and remote interrogations and device management according to established protocol under the supervision of a physician. This includes Pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices and Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs).
• Recognizes, documents, and reports basic abnormal functions of Pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs and CRT devices and recommends strategies to address and correct issues.
• Prepares standardized remote reports for review and interpretation.
• Troubleshoots abnormal functions for bradycardia, tachycardia and CRT devices.
• Identifies and seeks appropriate therapy for basic and complex arrhythmias and device malfunctions.

• Certification - Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) from International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) within 24 months of hire
• Licensure - None required
• Experience - 1 year of clinical cardiology experience is required; basic understanding of ECG’s and arrhythmias
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent
