Patient Billing Associate – Fairfax, VA | Full-Time | Hybrid After Training

Patient Financial Services | Revenue Cycle Support | Patient Advocacy

Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area — is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Patient Billing Associate to support patients with billing questions while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue cycle operations.

This is a full-time, benefitted position supporting our Patient Financial Services team.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends or major holidays)

Work Model:
Hybrid (after the completion of training
- in office 3 days/week
)

• Support patients by helping them understand and manage their medical bills

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, balances, and payment options
• Process patient payments accurately, including self-pay and charity adjustments
• Assist patients with setting up payment plans
• Review patient accounts for completeness and accuracy; escalate complex issues when appropriate
• Provide basic support for insurance-related billing questions
• Support daily billing operations, including invoice generation, statement processing, and account research
• Document billing activity accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s degree preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or patient financial services
• Basic knowledge of insurance terminology, billing workflows, and denial codes
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
