The Dining Services Director at a Brightview Senior Living community is our champion of the Dining experience! With a goal of effectively managing the day-to-day dining services operation, this individual coaches our team of dining associates and is an advocate for our residents. It is imperative to ensure that our current and future residents receive exceptional service, delicious food, and interesting and exciting dining options.
OverviewThe Dining Services Director plays a key leadership role within the Brightview community, creating a meaningful and positive impact on residents’ quality of life!
Salary RangeUSD $85,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
Compensation DisclosureThe salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.
Responsibilities- Build, develop, and manage all community Dining associates.
- Serve as a visible, approachable presence during meal service, engaging with residents to exceed dining expectations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive communication plan involving team members, residents, families, and guests.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional care and nutrition to residents.
- Assist with the development and ongoing management of the dining services budget.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure kitchen and dining areas are properly maintained, clean, and safe.
- Collaborate with the team in meal preparation and service.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to support community marketing efforts and resident programming.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; education focused in culinary, hospitality, or food management.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of Food Service Management experience in the hospitality field (Country Club, Banquets).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large diverse group of associates ranging from dishwashers to chefs.
- Current Safe Serve or other relevant certification.
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to plan and manage a budget.
- Ability to analyze reports.
- Moderate computer skills in the standard Microsoft suite.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
