Human Resource Analyst I
Salary: $32.88 – $53.44 per hour (up to 29 hours per week, hourly wage position).
Work Hours: In‑office attendance during daytime business hours.
Competency Model: All Employee.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional support in benefits administration, retirement programs, and leave management (FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, Short-term Disability), assisting the Benefits Supervisor and occasionally acting as a back‑up.
- Assist employees and supervisors with navigating workflows and transactions within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
- Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and regulations to employees and managers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency laws and regulations.
- Manage HR data, documentation, and records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to HR‑related inquiries.
- Perform assigned duties, tasks, activities, and special projects as needed.
- Classification and Compensation:
Review intake forms and job/position descriptions for classification; assist supervisors in setting salaries during hiring, agency transfers, and promotions. - Performance Management:
Assist employees and supervisors in navigating performance management workflows in My Career Connect . - Policy and Procedure:
Provide general information regarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and agency laws and regulations. - Talent Acquisition:
Develop job postings; screen applications; participate in interview panels, career fairs, and recruitment events. - Talent Administration:
Review final employment recommendations for justification and compliance with EO and AA; conduct pre‑employment references and verifications; attend statewide meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Collect, assemble, process, and file information using manual and automated systems.
- Operate office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Effective oral and written communication with diverse audiences, presentations, and meetings.
- Knowledge of HR practices and principles.
- Knowledge of personnel administration principles and practices.
- A combination of training, experience, or education in Human Resources or a related field is desired.
