CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support the development of documentation for engineering, security, and operational processes for a large federal agency. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of cloud computing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals.

• Design solutions that ensure maximum flexibility and scalability while meeting security controls.
• Support the development of documentation to support engineering, security, and operational processes.
• Perform business and technical analyses to help customers make informed decisions.
• Facilitate transition of the solution to operations, ensuring ongoing operation within expected boundaries.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud computing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals with experience designing and implementing solutions.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4-7 years of IT experience supporting federal government agencies.
• 4+ years designing, implementing, and/or supporting highly distributed applications with strong architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Required) or other cloud services with architectural design experience.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale solutions that have progressed to production.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS; ability to develop cloud-based solution designs and implementation plans.
• Familiar with lift-and-shift migrations and migration methodologies.
• Experience in Cloud computing, Networking, Storage, and Identity Management; AWS Certification or Cloud Architect Certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Hands-on AWS experience reinforced with architectural design experience delivering large-scale production solutions.
• Develop cloud-based solution designs and implementation plans tailored to customer needs.
• Familiar with lift-and-shift migrations and migration methodologies for cloud migration.
• Experience in Cloud Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity Management; AWS Certification or Cloud Architect Certification (or willingness to obtain).
