The MSP Field Engineer role at M3 Technology Consultants is a full-time position based in Fairfax, VA. The Field Engineer will provide on-site and remote IT support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing installations and system upgrades, and maintaining network and security systems. Responsibilities also include managing IT projects, providing technical training to clients, and ensuring that IT systems operate efficiently to meet business objectives.
Qualifications- 2 to 4 years of IT support experience, ideally in a managed service provider (MSP) environment
- Experienced in Connect Wise or other similar PSA tools
- Proficiency in desktop software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Quick Books
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Apple MacOS
- Knowledge in server, desktop, and laptop hardware manufactured by Apple, Dell, Lenovo or HP
- Knowledge in hardware and cloud storage solutions
- Knowledge in computer networking and protocols
- Knowledge in security software such as endpoint security and web content filtering, vulnerability scanning tools, and other security-related technologies
- Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions
