We are looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to join a highly regarded defense technology organization in either Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining cloud-native AWS environments, working across Linux infrastructure, automation, scripting and containerization.

** The Role
*** Build and maintain cloud-native environments within AWS
* Build and configure AWS services including EC2, VPC and related infrastructure
* Manage and troubleshoot Linux environments
* Develop scripts and automate repetitive infrastructure tasks
* Support automated OS and cloud infrastructure deployments
* Work with Kubernetes and Docker
* Support system security, hardening, monitoring and performance tuning
* Troubleshoot networking and wider infrastructure issues

The wider environment includes Linux, cloud virtualization, automated infrastructure deployment, networking, scripting and container technologies.

** What We're Looking For
*** Strong hands-on AWS experience
* Experience building AWS infrastructure, rather than simply supporting an existing environment
* Strong Linux knowledge
* Scripting experience in Bash, Python or similar
* Kubernetes experience highly preferred
* Docker/containerization experience
* Mid-to-senior level engineering experience

This position is fully onsite and requires an active Top Secret clearance or higher.
