This role will enable you to utilize both your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either as a lead or as part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field)
• Testing requirements:
  Approved testing, translation and speaking, listening and reading
• Language and level required:
  Khmer

• Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that contain facts and some abstract language, capturing intended implications and nuances
• Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text

• Able to interpret accurately. Consecutive interpretation is required; on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation may be required. Knowledge of one or more regional dialects is preferred.

• Review audio or internet materials, transcribe with high accuracy and expression. Possess excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.

• Ability to identify and summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts
• Computer skills including MS Office to produce written translations and perform basic web research
• Excellent English-language verbal communication skills to present briefings

• Microsoft Office tools and applications;
  PowerPoint is required

The proposed salary range for this position is $86,600 - $181,800. Equal Opportunity Employer.
