Donor Relations Associate – Coptic Orphans
The Donor Relations Associate is an essential point of contact for Coptic Orphans’ stakeholders, responsible for recording and maintaining donor data, processing donations, handling sponsor ships, and addressing donor inquiries while supporting the organization’s mission.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Record and update donor and sponsor data in Salesforce.
- Process donations, update donor payment methods, and address declined transactions.
- Compile and generate weekly donor maintenance reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Conduct new sponsor orientation and record sponsor inquiries.
- Respond to donor inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional assistance to ensure a positive donor experience.
- Support donor engagement efforts through outreach and relationship building.
- Provide support in the planning and execution of outreach and fundraising events, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient event operations.
- Engage with donors during campaigns and outreach efforts to encourage contributions and strengthen relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in donor relations, customer service, or database management.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; ability to understand Arabic is required (reading and writing proficiency is a plus).
- Knowledge of Coptic culture is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint;
Salesforce proficiency is required. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Persuasive, polished, and articulate communicator; comfortable and confident on the telephone with stakeholders.
- Domestic travel may reach up to 30% of the time; occasional international travel is expected.
- Typical office environment such as walking, sitting, typing, using office equipment, and occasional lifting of boxes or luggage during travel.
- Working outside of official hours and on weekends may be required.
