Overview
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced PACU RN for a PRN (as needed) schedule covering 0545 to 1815; on-call shifts required.
Located in western Fairfax County, IF0H's PACU operates with 26 bays and supports a comprehensive range of surgical specialties. The unit supports on-call coverage M-F, weekends and holidays.
RN PACU Responsibilities- Provide perioperative care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for scheduled and emergent cases.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe patient recovery and timely disposition from PACU.
- One year of PACU or CC nursing (ICU or ED) experience is required.
- Education:
BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. - RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of PACU experience to include Pre Op, phase 1 and 2 recovery experience.
