Registered Nurse; RN ICU Nights

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join the team. This is a full-time night Shift position (3 x 12-hour shifts/week) 7:00pm-7:00am. Sign-on bonus and relocation bonus for eligible nurses!

The Intensive Care Unit at Fair Oaks Hospital (IFOH) is a 12-bed unit with a patient population that includes, but not limited to, end-stage disease processes, sepsis, post-partum emergencies, respiratory failure, post-operative care and others that require more intensive nursing care. This patient population requires care from nurses that have successfully completed the critical care fellowship and/or have experience caring for the critically ill patient population.

The ICU is equipped to provide CRRT and induced hypothermia for post-cardiac arrest.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will communicate effectively with patients, families, team members and medical providers. To help achieve our mission, you will create a collaborative team working environment while displaying respect for and an understanding of various clinical disciplines. Using a focused and integrated approach toward improving desired patient outcomes and patient experience of care delivery is of vital importance.

Your participation in learning new knowledge, developing new skills and meeting program objectives to be able to practice in assigned patient care delivery settings while utilizing and applying new knowledge is essential. Demonstrating willingness to learn under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various other training formats is required.

• Experience: Minimum of one year of ICU Registered Nurse experience.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association. ACLS preferred or within 90 days.
