Clinical Mentor (RN) Medical Unit – Inova Fair Oaks Hospital
Location: Bethesda, MD –
Salary: $61,000–$128,000 per year.
We are seeking an experienced RN Clinical Mentor to empower our Medical Unit team. The role is full‑time, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on department needs. Relocation assistance is available.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in training, coaching and mentoring staff.
- Orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence.
- Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors for smooth transition.
- Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
- Participate in design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in a designated specialty; 3 months serving as a preceptor.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as an RN or holding an active multi‑state RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year experience serving as a preceptor.
