Registered Nurse; RN NICU

Join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital as a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) on the night shift.

• Full‑time, 30 hours per week (3×12 one week and 2×12 the next).
• Night shift; may orient on day shift at times.
• Minimum one year of NICU nursing experience.

• Provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others; respects and understands other clinical disciplines; uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.

• Experience:
  
  1 year as a Registered Nurse and, if required by unit, 1 year of specialty RN experience.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required at hire.
• Licensure:
  Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Education:
  
  BSN from an accredited nursing school; if holding an Associate’s Degree, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

The NICU offers 24‑hour staffing from board‑certified neonatologists and specially trained, certified nurses; 19 private rooms; nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:3.
