Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a RN Clinical Mentor to work with our Medical Unit team
. This role is full-time, M-F. Relocation assistance eligible.

• Develop expertise in training, coaching and mentoring staff through the promotion and delivery of high-quality nursing care.
• Orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.
• Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment.
• Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
• Participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians.

Hours:

full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)

• Education:
  
  Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Experience:
  
  2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association;
  Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License

• Minimum of 1 year experience serving as a preceptor
