Restorative Nursing Assistant
Full-Time | Part-Time | All Shifts Available
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Restorative Nursing Assistant to provide restorative nursing care that promotes resident independence, mobility, and highest functional level. This role works under the direction of the Restorative Nurse and functions as a Certified Nursing Assistant while supporting individualized restorative programs.
This position is ideal for a CNA who enjoys hands-on care, consistency, and helping residents maintain strength and function.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with restorative exercises, ambulation, range of motion, and mobility programs
- Support residents with transfers and use of assistive devices
- Encourage independence and participation in restorative activities
- Document restorative care provided and resident progress daily
- Report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and positioning
- Participate in resident care planning and provide input for MDS and care plans
- Monitor restorative equipment for cleanliness and proper use
- Assist nursing staff with routine care and assignments as directed
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times
- Current, active Nursing Assistant certification in the state
- Restorative nursing training preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to follow care plans and restorative schedules accurately
- Heavy physical activity including lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting residents
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics
- Exposure to clinical environments and healthcare equipment
