Position Overview

Security Officer – Armed Patrol – Fairfax, VA – Full Time – $20.90 per hour.

Mon 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM;
Tue 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM;
Wed 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM;
Thu 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM;
Fri 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining a professional presence as an armed patrol officer.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security matters, while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
• Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific guidelines.

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Minimum age 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
